We thank you for your interest in staying in South Bohemia, an area still very little
affected by industrialization, and is, therefore very suitable for your holiday.
Those familiar with South Bohemia know that they will find a beautiful, largely
untouched countryside, deep forests abounding in mushrooms and blueberries, and,
last but not least, a number of lakes and ponds which offer a wide range of possibilities
for water sports. Those who prefer the quiet and do not enjoy being surrounded by
large groups of tourists may choose from our offer of stays in private chalets or
cottages outside the area of Lipno. These are especially suitable for hiking and
cycling enthusiasts.
During your holiday you can also visit countless places of cultural interest, including
castles, chateaux, monasteries, museums and others, the number of which is especially
high in South Bohemia. The Austrian and German borders are within easy reach, which
allows for short visits to the picturesque little towns in the border area. We can
also arrange one-day trips to Prague for bigger groups, including opportunities
to see the most prominent places of interest (orders for this service must be placed
at least two weeks in advance).
All of the buildings for rent have at least a flush toilet and a shower cabinet.
There is always a kitchen (or kitchenette) equipped with a fridge, electric cooker
or stove, basic utensils and cutlery. The price includes the use of bed linen in
all buildings and, in the case of the private houses, the final clean up as well.
Further, the price also includes energy consumption (lighting and cooking). All
the buildings have ovens, fireplaces or central heating in case of colder weather
(see the description of the particular buildings). In the JAF LIPNO centres, visitors
may make use of various sports equipment ranging from Russian nine-pins, basketball,
volleyball, the popular French game "Petanque" with metal balls (well-known from
a number of films), to tables for table tennis, boats and mountain bikes. A tennis
court may be hired in the neighboring centre. We recommend that you order bicycles
and boats in advance as they are always in high demand in the summer season. We
also would like to inform you that in the off-peak season we are able to provide
rooms for various business courses, for company-organized and other celebrations
(e.g. anniversaries, weddings etc.). This is ideal for those seeking an interesting,
non-traditional atmosphere with high quality accommodation. We can also accommodate
two school classes for nature courses. Those who have been to the centre know that
it has a pleasant, heated main hall for over 80 people with a friendly staff and
excellent cooking. Meals are only available if there are (during the off-season)
at least 20 boarders. We would like you to inform your personnel department and
school headmasters that those who help to arrange stays of over 20 people with us
and conclude even a single contract with us will be treated as agents and thus will
be entitled to obtain appropriate remuneration. This offer, however, does not apply
to the months of July and August!! If you have decided to stay in our centre,

All the cabins have blankets with bed linen, the kitchens are equipped with basic
utensils and refrigerators, heating with wood (supplied by the manager, for 1.90
EUR for a wheelbarrow). Gas heating costs are not included in the accommodation
price!! All the centres are situated in a lovely countryside, and border on the
wood on two sides. The beach is 250 metres away. There is a good heated restaurant
at the centre, which is open in the high – season and during the off-season when
there are more then 20 boarders. The center offers a wide range of sports activities:
there is a hire service for mountain bicycles, boats and various games (table tennis,
Russian nine-pins, pétanque, maxi-draughts, basketball), and fishing licences are
sold here. Due to its location, the center appears ideal for various training courses
or classes for city school children.
